MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS

THE LEWISHAM (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. 6) ORDER 2018

The Lewisham (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 6) Order 2018

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Borough Council on 21st February 2018 has made the above-mentioned Orders under the provisions of sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Orders will come into operation on 26th February 2018.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be, in:—

(a) ACKROYD ROAD, to introduce a 9.5 metre length of ‘Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.’ waiting restrictions on the north side outside the Ackroyd Centre;

(b) ADELAIDE AVENUE, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the west side at its junction with Ladywell Road;

(c) ASHGROVE ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south-east side between the south-eastern wall of No. 51 Ashgrove Road and its junction with Calmont Road;

(d) BAUDWIN ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-east side of the road, on the north-west side of its junction with Castillion Road;

(e) BEACHBOROUGH ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-east and north-west side between a point 5.1 metres north-west of No. 21 Beachborough Road and a point 9.3 metres north-east of School House, Beachborough Road;

(f) BOVENEY ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on (i) the south and south-east side outside No. 14 Boveney Road, and (ii) the south-east and north-east side outside No. 56 Boveney Road;

(g) BRAXFIELD ROAD, i) to introduce a new loading bay on the south side outside No. 1a Braxfield Road in which vehicles may load or unload without time limit at any time; ii) to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north and south at its junction with Howson Road

(h) BROCKLEY RISE, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the west side at its junction with Firs Close;

(i) BROCKLEY ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions: (i) on the north-west side at its junction with Eddystone Road, (ii) on the north-west side at its junction with Hazeldon Road, and (iii) on the south-east side between a point outside No. 465 Brockley Road and its northernmost junction with Brockley Rise; iv) to provide a new free short stay parking place on the west side outside Nos’ 400 to 406 Brockley Road, in which vehicles may be left for up to 30 mins between 8 am and 6.30 pm on Monday to Saturday, provided that no vehicle may return to that parking place within 1 hour

(j) BROCKLEY WAY, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-east side at its junction with St. Norbert Road;

(k) CALMONT ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-east side between its junction with Ashgrove Road and a point 2 metres north-west of the boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Calmont Road;

(l) CASTILLION ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-west side at its junction with Baudwin Road;

(m) CHESEMAN STREET, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-west, west and south-west side at the end of the cul-de-sac;

(n) CHUDLEIGH ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south-east side outside Nos. 85 to 91 Chudleigh Road;

(o) CODRINGTON HILL, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-west side at its junction with Gladiator Street;

(p) COLD BLOW LANE, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at and on the approach to its junction with Mercury Way;

(q) DARTMOUTH ROAD, to: (i) convert 30 metres of existing single yellow line waiting restrictions on the north-west side near the junction with Kirkdale to ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions, and (ii) convert 20 metres of existing single yellow line waiting restrictions on the south-east side near the junction with Kirkdale to ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions

(r) DOGGETT ROAD, to (i) remove an existing length of ‘school keep clear’ restrictions and two ‘shared-use’ parking places on the east side outside Holbeach School and introduce a new 43.5 metre length of ‘school keep clear’ restrictions, and (ii) introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the east side between its junctions with Bradgate Road and Holbeach Road;

(s) EDDYSTONE ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Brockley Road;

(t) EDWARD STREET, to provide a new loading bay on the north side of the road at the side of No. 217 Deptford High Street, in which vehicles may load and unload for up to 20 minutes at any time, provided that no vehicle may return to that loading bay within 1 hour;

(u) FIRS CLOSE, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Brockley Rise;

(v) FRANSFIELD GROVE, to replace all ‘no waiting between Mon-Sat, 8am-6:30pm’ (Single Yellow Line) restrictions at the junction with Kirkdale with ‘at any time’ restrictions;

(w) GABRIEL STREET, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north side at its junction with Wyleu Street;

(x) GEOFFREY ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-west side at it’s junction with Ashby Mews;

(y) GLADIATOR STREET, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Codrington Hill;

(z) HAREFIELD ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south side at the vehicular entrance to the Royal Mail Sorting Office, No. 201 Brockley Road;

(aa) HAZELDON ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Brockley Road;

(bb) HITHER GREEN LANE, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south-west side at its junction with Wellmeadow Road;

(cc) HOLDENBY ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Brockley Road;

(dd) HOWSON ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Braxfield Road

(ee) IVY ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the west and east sides of the road at its junction with Ladywell Road

(ff) KINVER ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north side at its junction with Peak Hill;

(gg) KIRKDALE to convert existing single yellow line waiting restriction to ‘at any time’ (i) from the south west side junction of Brickwood Close to Dartmouth Road (ii) from the south west side junction of Fransfield Grove to Halifax Street iii) On the south west junction outside No. 251 to 107

(hh) LADYWELL ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides of the road at and to the west of its junction with Adelaide Avenue and; (ii) extend the hours of existing ‘limited wait’ bays outside 52, 92, and 113 Ladywell Road to the operational hours: Monday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm, where there will be a maximum stay of 30 minutes providing there is no return to this bay within 2 hours.

(ii) LAWRIE PARK AVENUE, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on i) both sides at the junction of Westwood Hill ii) at all four corners at the junction of Lawrie Park Gardens

(jj) MEADOWVIEW ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions: (i) on both sides at its junction with Worsley Bridge Road, (ii) on both sides at its junction with Southend Lane (iii) on the south-west side opposite Nos. 102 to 184 Meadowview Road, and (iv) on the south-east side outside Nos. 109 to 115 Meadowview Road;

[Note: parts (i), (iii) and (iv) of (nn) Meadowview Road above also partially lie within the London Borough of Bromley.]

(kk) MERCURY WAY, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Cold Blow Lane;

(ll) NELGARDE ROAD, to reduce in length by 5 metres an existing ‘shared-use’ parking place on the west side outside Holbeach School and extend the adjoining single yellow line waiting restrictions;

(mm) OCTAVIUS STREET, i) to introduce a i) 58 metres length of ‘Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.’ waiting restrictions on the east side ii) 5 metres length of ‘Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.’ waiting restrictions on the west side

(nn) OXESTALLS ROAD to convert single yellow line waiting restriction to ‘at any time’ waiting restriction 80 metres north of the kerbline of Evelyn Street to the entrance of Eddystone Tower;

(oo) PEAK HILL, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the east side at its junction with Kinver Road;

(pp) PENBERTH ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south, south-east and east side, outside Nos. 3 and 5 and at the side of No. 3 Penberth Road;

(qq) PLOUGH WAY, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions: (i) on the south-east side between its junctions with Cary Avenue and Grove Street, and (ii) on both sides of the vehicular entrance to the Marine Wharf East development;

(rr) ROMBOROUGH WAY, to provide a new residents parking place on the south-east side outside St. Mary’s RC Primary School in which vehicles with a valid CPZ ‘B’ residents or visitors parking permit may be left without time limit between 9 am and 6.30 pm on Monday to Saturday and; (ii) remove 9 metres of ‘no waiting at specified times’ restriction in the same location

(ss) RUBENS STREET, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north side at its junction with Tugela Street;

(tt) ST. NORBERT ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions: (i) on the north-west side between its junction with Brockley Way and a point 54.3 metres north-east, and (ii) on the south-east side between its junction with Brockley Way and a point 13.3 metres north-east;

(uu) SELWORTHY ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the west, north-west and north side outside No. 91 Selworthy Road;

(vv) SOUTHEND LANE, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south sides at the junction with Meadowview Road

(ww) SYDENHAM HILL, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the west side at its junction with the vehicular access to Attleborough Court;

(xx) THURSTON ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions: (i) on the east side between its junction with Leathwell Road and a point south of the southern parapet of the railway bridge, and (ii) on the west and south-west side between the southern wall of No. 104 Thurston Road and its junction with the north-western vehicular access to the Thurston Road Industrial Estate redevelopment site (iii) on the north east side, 35 metres from the bus stop, to convert single yellow line waiting restriction to ‘at any time’ waiting restriction

(yy) TUGELA STREET, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Rubens Street;

(zz) WELLMEADOW ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Hither Green Lane;

(aaa) WESTWOOD HILL, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on south side of the junction with Lawrie Park Avenue

(bbb) WYLEU STREET, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Gabriel Street.

3. Make certain other changes to bring the orders in line with the on-street layout.

4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the office of Lewisham Transport Policy & Development, 4th Floor Laurence House, 1 Catford Road, London SE6 4RU.

5. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
