Notice is hereby given that the Council in the exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 69A to 69E of the Roads (NI) Order 1993 as inserted in the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act (NI) 2011 proposes to make orders entitled Derry City and Strabane District Council Traffic Regulation (Castle Street/ John Wesley Street, Strabane) Order 2018.

The purpose of the Order is to prohibit the use by vehicles and pedestrians of the following streets:

Between 18 and 18a Castle Street, leading to John Wesley Street, Strabane. BT82 8AA

Vehicles requiring access in specified circumstances are exempted from the provisions of this Order. It is proposed to give effect to this by erecting gates at the street specified above.

Objections or other representations may be made in writing to Philip Kingston, Corporate Services Directorate, Derry City and Strabane District Council, 98 Strand Road, Derry BT48 7NN within a period of 30 days from the publication of this notice.

Full details as contained in the draft orders together with maps showing the affected roads may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the said period at the above address. A draft order will also be available in Derry City and Strabane District Council Offices, 47 Derry Road, Strabane BT82 8DY.
