PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN CROYDON

THE CROYDON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (NO.1) TRAFFIC ORDER, 2018

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council, on 29 January 2018 made the above Traffic Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to introduce or extend “at any time” double yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule 1 to this Notice and to remove double yellow line waiting restrictions in the length of street specified in the Schedule 2 to this Notice.

3. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on the 05 February 2018, can be inspected between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the “Access Croydon” Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk Croydon, CR0 1EA.

4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Parking Design, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk Croydon, CR0 1EA.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE 1

(INTRODUCING/EXTENDING EXISTING DOUBLE YELLOW LINE WAITING RESTRICTIONS “AT ANY TIME”)

Beverley Road: Both sides, either side of the junction with Hillcrest Road for a distance of 10 metres.

Birchfield Close: The south-west side, from a point 5 metres south-east of the south-eastern boundary of No. 71 Birchfield Close to the south-eastern boundary of No. 81 Birchfield Close.

Brighton Road, South Croydon: The north-west side, either side of the junction with St Augustine’s Avenue for a distance of 10 metres north-eastwards and 9 metres south-westwards.

Cherry Tree Green:

• The north-west side, from the north eastern kerb-line of Limpsfield Road to a point 18 metres south-east of the south-eastern flank wall of No. 1 Cherry Tree Green.

• The south-east side, from the north eastern kerb-line of Limpsfield Road to a point 10 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 2 and 4 Cherry Tree Green.

Copthorne Rise: The east side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Mitchley Avenue by 11 metres northward.

Firs Road: Both sides, from the junction with Park Road/Hayes Lane for a distance of 10 metres north-westwards.

Higher Drive:

• The north-east side, extending the existing double yellow lines either side of the junction with Densham Drive for a distance of 5 metres north-westwards and 25 metres south-eastwards.

• The north-east side, for a distance of 19 metres north and 16 metres south of the junction with Woodland Way.

Hillcrest Road:

• Both sides, either side of the junction with Beverley Road for a distance of 10 metres.

• Both sides, from the junction with Mosslea Road for a distance of 10 metres south-westwards.

• Both sides, from the junction with Hilltop Road for a distance of 10 metres north-eastwards.

Hilltop Road:

• Both sides, either side of the junction with Hillcrest Road/Marlings Close for a distance of 10 metres.

• The north-east and north-west side for a distance of 10 metres, following the bend adjacent to No. 1 Hilltop Road.

Homefield Road: The north-east side, from the north-western end of the existing “School Keep Clear” zig-zig outside the Oasis Academy, Coulsdon, for a distance of 10 metres north-westwards.

Honister Heights: The north-east side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Dunmail Drive for a distance of 8 metres north-westwards.

Kenley Lane:

• The north-east side, from a point 1 metre north-west of the north-western boundary of No. 2 Valley Road north-westwards for a distance of 22 metres (amending an existing single yellow line to double yellow lines).

• The south-west side, from a point 19 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 8 and 10 Kenley Lane south-eastwards for a distance of 34 metres (amending an existing single yellow line to double yellow lines).

Limpsfield Road: The north-east side, either side of the junction with Cherry Tree Green for a distance of 10 metres.

Little Roke Avenue: The north-east side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Little Roke Road for a distance of 24 metres north-westwards. (Also see Schedule 2).

Little Roke Road:

• The south-west side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the south-eastern extremity of Little Roke Road by 14 metres north-westwards.

• The south-west side, extending the existing section of double yellow lines opposite Kenley Sports Club by 5 metres at each end.

Marlings Close: Both sides, from the junction with Hilltop Road for a distance of 10 metres south-westwards.

Mosslea Road: The south-west side, either side of the junction with Hillcrest Road for a distance of 10 metres.

Muggeridge Close: Both sides, the entire length of the road (amending an existing single yellow line to double yellow lines).

Park Road: The south-west side, either side of the junction with Firs Road for a distance of 10 metres.

Ravenshead Close: Both sides, from the junction with Old Farleigh Road for a distance of 14 metres south-westwards.

St Augustine’s Avenue: Both sides, from the junction with Brighton Road for a distance of 18.29 metres north-westwards (amending an existing single yellow line to double yellow lines).

Ward Close: The north-east side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Normanton Road for a distance of 28 metres south-eastwards.

Woodland Way: Both sides, from the junction with Higher Drive for a distance of 10 metres eastwards.

(REMOVING DOUBLE YELLOW LINE WAITING RESTRICTIONS “AT ANY TIME”)

Little Roke Avenue: The south-west side, removing the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Little Roke Road between the north-western boundary of No. 1a Little Roke Avenue and a point 16 metres south-west of that boundary (Also see Schedule 1).
