THE GREENWICH (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 157) ORDER 2018

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Greenwich on 29th January 2018 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order will come into operation on 5th February 2018.

2. The general effect of the Order will be, in connection with the relocation of the bus stop on the south side of Plumstead Common Road from outside Nos. 34 to 44 Plumstead Common Road to opposite Nos. 73 to 81 Plumstead Common Road:

(a) to provide waiting and loading restrictions that will operate between 7am and 7pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive in Plumstead Common Road, the south side, outside Nos. 34 to 44 Plumstead Common Road;

(b) to provide double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions in the following lengths:

(i) Plumstead Common Road:

(A) south side, for 4 metres east of Herbert Place and 6 metres west of Barnfield Road; and

(B) both sides, outside and opposite No. 71 to 81 Plumstead Common Road; and

(ii) Barnfield Road, both sides, for 5 metres south of Plumstead Common Road; and

(c) to make certain other changes to bring the waiting and loading restriction parent Order in line with the on street layout.

[Note: existing loading restrictions that operate between 7am and 10am and between 4pm and 7pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive are to be re-marked on the kerb in Plumstead Common Road, the north side, between Bloomfield Road and No. 79 Plumstead Common Road.

The Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the Directorate of Regeneration, Enterprise and Skills, Strategic Transportation, Royal Borough of Greenwich, The Woolwich Centre, 35 Wellington Street, SE18 6HQ.

5. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for that purpose to the High Court.
