THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 294) ORDER 2018

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 22nd January 2018 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to:

(a) introduce three additional residents’ parking spaces on the south-east side of Aberdeen Place, outside Poynter House;

(b) revise the layout of the existing residents’ parking spaces on the south-west side of Cunningham Place (outside Nos. 11 to 18) so that they would be placed at an angle of 45° to the kerb, to provide an additional three spaces;

(c) introduce an additional residents’ parking space on the south-west side of Cunningham Place, outside No. 10a;

(d) introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions:

(i) at the junction of Aberdeen Place and Cunningham Place;

(ii) on the north-west side of Aberdeen Place, between No. 33 Aberdeen Place and No. 1 Northwick Terrace; and

(iii) on the south-west side of Cunningham Place, except in the areas designated as parking places and red route; and

(e) introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions on the north-west side of Aberdeen Place, around the segregated cycle lane island.

Please note that the width of the residents’ parking spaces outside Nos. 11 to 18 Cunningham Place, as referred to in paragraph (b) above has been revised so that there will be a gain of three spaces instead of four as detailed in the notice of proposals published on 8th September 2017.

3. The Orders, which will come into force on 31st January 2018, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until 5th March 2018 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at WSP, Palace Gardens Suite, 27th Floor, Portland House, Bressenden Place, London, SW1E 5RS.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
