LODGE ROAD

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 22nd January 2018 made the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended:

• The City of Westminster (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Permit Parking Places) (Amendment No. 33) Order 2018;

• The City of Westminster (Motorcycle Parking Places) (Amendment No. 83) Order 2018;

• The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (B Zone) (Amendment No. 50) Order 2018; and

• The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 293) Order 2018.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be, in connection with the introduction of a local safety scheme, to revise parking and waiting restrictions, as follows:

(a) to relocate the shared-use parking space (15 metres) on the north-west side of Lodge Road, adjacent to the Church of Our Lady, 15 metres north-eastward (to be replaced with double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions);

(b) to replace the existing motorcycle parking place (3 metres) and the redundant disabled “white badge” parking bay (5 metres) on the north-west side of Lodge Road, outside No. 52, with shared-use parking;

(c) to shorten the existing shared-use parking place (18 metres) on the north-west side of Lodge Road, north-east of the entrance / exit to “Pavilion Apartments” car park, by 5 metres (to be replaced with double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions);

(d) to extend the residents’ parking space on the south-east side of Lodge Road 40 metres south-west of Oak Tree Road, south-westward by 5 metres;

(e) to introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions;

(i) on the north-west side of the railway bridge on Lodge Road (30 metres); and

(ii) on the south-east side of Lodge Road outside “The Wellington Hospital” (45 metres).

3. The Orders, which will come into force on 29th January 2018, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until 5th March 2018 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at WSP, Palace Gardens Suite, 27th Floor, Portland House, Bressenden Place, London, SW1E 5RS.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
