DRAKELOW COMBINED CYCLE GAS TURBINE GENERATING STATION

TAKE NOTICE that on 31 July 2017 Powersite DL Limited of Mulberry House, St. Mary Bourne, Andover, Hampshire SP11 6EF submitted to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy as the appropriate authority an application pursuant to Section 36C of the Electricity Act 1989 to vary the consent granted on 16 October 2007 under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 and subsequently varied under Section 36C of the Electricity Act 1989 on 9 April 2010, 11 October 2011 and 6 July 2016 in respect of the Drakelow combined cycle gas turbine generating station.

The application has been determined and the Secretary of State has made a section 36 variation. A direction has also been given under section 90(2ZA) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 that the conditions to the deemed planning permission be varied.

A copy of the decision notice dated 12 January 2018 has been sent to South Derbyshire District Council as the local planning authority and is available for public inspection on the planning register maintained by the District Council. The register is available for inspection at: South Derbyshire District Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Swadlincote, Derbyshire DE11 0AH.
