Highways England Company Limited (Company no. 9346363) hereby gives notice that it has made an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1), and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A40 Trunk Road at Ross-on-Wye in the County of Herefordshire.

The effect of the order will be to close the gaps in the central reservation of the A40 at Ross-on-Wye opposite the junction with –

a) Wilton Lane, at Wilton;

b) Bannuttree Lane, at Wilton;

c) the unnamed road leading to Weirend Farm, at Weirend; and

d) Boat Lane, north of Pencraig.

A copy of the made Order, together with a plan and a statement of the reasons for making the Order, may be inspected during opening hours at Ross-on-Wye Library, Cantilupe Road, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire HR9 7AN; Herefordshire Council, Plough Lane, Hereford, HR4 0LE, or may be seen at or obtained by application to Highways England Company Limited, The Cube, 199 Wharfside Street, Birmingham, B1 1RN.

Any person wishing to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in, the Order, on the ground that it is not within the powers with respect to the Order conferred by the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of, or of any instrument made under, any provision of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of 25 January 2018, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
