WARWICK SQUARE – INTRODUCTION OF A ‘NO MOTOR VEHICLES’ RESTRICTION.

THE CITY OF LONDON (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO MOTOR VEHICLES) (NO. *) ORDER 201*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Common Council of the City of London, propose to make the above Order under sections 6 and 22C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The effect of the Order would be to introduce a ‘no motor vehicles at any time’ restriction in Warwick Square.

3. The restriction will be enforced by the use of a rising bollard under the supervision of the Head of Security of the Central Criminal Court or an Authorised Inspector of the City of London Police. Vehicles being used by the emergency services, utility companies or their contractors, the local authority or waste and recycling collectors will be granted access when required. Vehicles that require access in order to enter the Central Criminal Court car park will be permitted.

4. Copies of the proposed Order, of the statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of a plan showing the proposals can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive at the Planning Enquiry Desk, North Wing, Guildhall, London, EC2P 2EJ.

6. Persons desiring to object to the proposed measures should send a statement of their objection and the grounds thereof in writing to the Assistant Director (City Transportation) at the above address by 16 February 2018 quoting the reference DBE/CT/TMO-GL.
