The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (North East) (No.1) Order 2018" authorising the stopping up of a rectangular shaped area of highway to the west of Stoddart Street at Newcastle upon Tyne, in the City of Newcastle upon Tyne to enable development as permitted by Newcastle upon Tyne City Council, reference 2017/1158/01/DET.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gsi.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/3054) and may be inspected during normal opening hours at Newcastle Central Library, 33 New Bridge Street, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8AX.

Any person aggrieved by or desiring to question the validity of or any provision within the Order, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement or regulation made has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of 19 January 2018 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision included.
