THE CAMDEN (PARKING PLACES) (ELECTRIC VEHICLE RECHARGING POINTS) (AMENDMENT NO. 3) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017

Notice is hereby given; that the Council of the London Borough of Camden propose to make these Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124, of and part IV of schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

In order to comply with the newly released Institution Engineering and Technology (IET) code of practice, the London Borough of Camden propose to relocate and upgrade a number of existing electric vehicle recharging bays. Roads affected by these changes are as follows: Newman’s Row, Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Red Lion Square, Rosslyn Hill, Shepherd’s Walk, Store Street, St Alban’s Road, Bisham Gardens, Doughty Street, Greencroft Gardens and Goldhurst Terrace.

A copy of the proposed orders and the Council's Statement of Reasons for the proposal may be viewed online at www.camden.gov.uk/parking. This material may also be inspected or obtained at the London Borough of Camden, 5 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG. Any person wishing to object or make representations to the proposed orders, should send their comments in writing, giving reasons for any objection to traffic.orders@camden.gov.uk or by post to the Assistant Director of Regeneration and Planning, Camden Town Hall, Judd Street, London WC1H 9JE. These comments should reach this Department by the 08 February 2018.

THE CAMDEN (WAITING AND LOADING) (AMENDMENT NO. 73) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017

Notice is hereby given, that the Council of the London Borough of Camden made these Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Parts II, III & IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The general nature and effect of the order will be to:

Clerkenwell Road: Designate “No Waiting/No loading at all times” restrictions adjacent to three bus stops on Clerkenwell road between its junction with Rosebury Avenue and Saffron Hill. Hatton Garden: Remove 10 metres of paid for parking bay outside No.78 Hatton Garden; remove 10 metres of paid for parking bay outside No.95 Hatton Garden; designate 20 metres of paid for parking bay outside No.8 Hatton Garden (Mon-Fri 8:30-18:30, Sat 8:30-13:30, £4.65p/h, max stay 2hrs) ; designate 8 metres of solo motorcycle bay outside No.43 Hatton Garden.

Any person desiring to question the validity of the orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
