WAITING RESTRICTIONS ANDTRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES

THE EALING (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 201*

THE EALING AND HOUNSLOW (FREE PARKING PLACES) (NO.1, 2010) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 201*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Ealing Council, propose, in connection with improvements to the signalised junction of Popes Lane and Lionel Road North, to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.

2. The general effect of the Waiting Order would be to impose waiting restrictions applying at any time in the lengths of Popes Lane specified in Part A of the Schedule to this Notice and to reduce the time of operation of the waiting restrictions in the length of Popes Lane specified in Part B of the Schedule to this Notice to apply between 8am and 6.30pm on Mondays to Saturdays.

3. The general effect of the Free Parking Place Order would be to amend the definition of the free parking place in Popes Lane to conform to the markings on the ground

4. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council under the powers of section 90c of the Highways Act 1980, propose to provide a 75mm high raised table in Popes Lane north-east of its junction of Lionel Road North over the crossing point which would have a length of 12.1 metres including 2 metre ramps.

5. Enquiries about the proposals can be made by e-mail to Highwayservices@ealing.gov.uk or by telephoning the Ealing Council Project Engineer on 0208 825 9052.

6. The proposed Orders, other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, the traffic calming measures including plans, are available by e-mail from Highwayservices@ealing.gov.uk or by inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders.

7. Any objections or other representations about either of the proposed Orders or the traffic calming measures should be sent in writing by e-mail to Highwayservices@ealing.gov.uk or by post to Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL, quoting reference ORD 4090 until the 2nd February 2018. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.

(a) the north-west side

(i) between a point 3.85 metres south-west of a point opposite the south-western wall of No. 96 Pope’s Lane and a point 21.50 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 92 and 94 Pope’s Lane;

(ii) between a point 4.50 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 92 and 94 Pope’s Lane and the common boundary of Nos. 88 and 90 Pope’s Lane;

(b) the south-east side, between a point 33.8 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Lionel Road North and a point 8.00 metres north-east of that kerb-line.

(B) (No waiting between 8am and 6.30pm on Mondays to Saturdays)
