THE LEWISHAM (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 201*

BOLINA ROAD, WEARDALE ROAD AND LEWISHAM GATEWAY AREA

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Borough Council propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under the provisions of section 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general nature and effect of the Orders would be to update the map tiles attached to those Orders to; (i) reflect the current on-street layout in Albion Way, Bolina Road, Bonfield Road, Elmira Street, Lewis Grove, Lewisham High Street, Lewisham Hill, Lewisham Road, Rennell Street, Station Road and Weardale Road following recent changes to parking and waiting and loading restrictions; (ii) replace existing ‘no waiting at any time except taxis’ and loading restrictions with ‘no stopping at any time except taxis’ restrictions on Lewis Grove; (iii) introduce banned right turns (except for buses, taxis and pedal cycles) from Lewisham Road into Station Road and from Station Road into Rennell Street; and (iv) introduce a banned U-turn applying to northbound vehicles in Lewisham High Street, between its junction with Station Road and 35 metres south of that junction (the northernmost point of the central traffic island)

3. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the office of Lewisham Transport Policy & Development, 4th Floor Laurence House, 1 Catford Road, London SE6 4RU.

4. Any objection or other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and must be emailed to: Traffic@lewisham.gov.uk or posted to Lewisham Transport Policy & Development, 4th Floor Laurence House, 1 Catford Road, London SE6 4RU, quoting reference ‘Lewisham Gateway' to arrive not later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
