THE TOWER HAMLETS (WAITING AND LOADING) (NO.1) ORDER 2015 (AMENDMENT NO. XX) ORDER 2018

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets on 11th January 2018 propose the above-mentioned Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Traffic Management Act 2004.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be:

a) Watts Grove:

I. To upgrade the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines No Waiting Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) in the entire length and on both sides of the road.

II. To introduce No Loading Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) Junction with Devons Road, outside and opposite Bilberry House and Junction with Yeo street.

b) Yeo Street:

I. To upgrade the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines No Waiting Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) in the entire length on both sides of the road.

II. To introduce No Loading Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) on north kerb Junction with Watts Grove.

III. To extend existing Permit Holders Bays on south kerb by another 2 vehicle spaces.

c) Glaucus Street:

I. To upgrade the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines No Waiting Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) in the entire length and on both sides of the road.

II. To extend existing Permit Holders Bays by another 3 vehicle spaces and create 2 Permit Holders Bays for 4 vehicles spaces.

d) Violet Road:

To upgrade the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines (No Waiting Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) over the Lime House Bridge junction with Morris Road on both sides of the road.

e) Morris Road:

I. To upgrade the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines No Waiting Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) over the Lime House Bridge junction with Violet Road on both sides of the road.

II. To extend existing Permit Holders bays on East kerb outside Colmans Wharf by another 2 vehicles spaces.

f) Greenfield Road:

I. To upgrade existing double yellow line to No Loading Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) from outside no. 80, southwards covering two car park gates of Kobi Nazrul Primary School.

II. To extend existing Business and Pay and Display bay outside Kobi Nazrul Primary School Car Park from 3 cars to four cars bay.

III. To reduce existing Business and Pay and Display bay outside Kobi Nazrul Primary School Car Park from 2 cars to one car bay.

g) Johnson Street:

I. To upgrade the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines No Waiting Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) in the entire length and on both sides of the road.

II. To relocate existing Residential Permit Holders Bay for 2 vehicles spaces from east kerb to west kerb and create 2 Permit Holders Bays for 4 vehicles spaces.

h) Poonah Street:

I. To upgrade the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines (No Waiting Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) in the entire length and on both sides of the road.

II. To create 2 Permit Holders Bays for 4 vehicles spaces on south Kerb.

i) Hardinge Street:

To upgrade the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines (No Waiting Restrictions “At Any Time” (24 hrs) in the entire length and on both sides of the road.

3. The Regulations, fees and usual exemptions imposed by the governing Traffic Management Orders would apply to the proposals referred to in paragraph 2 above.

4. A copy of each of the proposed Orders and all relevant documents can be inspected, by prior appointment, at the Parking & Mobility Services Offices, 585-593 Commercial Road, London E1 0HJ (020 7364 6949), during normal office hours on Monday to Friday inclusive until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.

5. Any person desiring to comment on or object to any of the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing or Email: Parking.development@towerhamlets.gov.uk of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the above address within the aforementioned period of 21 days.
