THE A49 TRUNK ROAD (WOOFFERTON, SHROPSHIRE) (50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20XX

Highways England Company Limited (Company no. 9346363) hereby gives notice that it intends to make an Order under section 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on a length of the A49 Trunk Road at Woofferton in the County of Shropshire.

The effect of the order would be to impose a 50 miles per hour speed limit on the A49 from a point 555 metres north of its junction with Park Lane, to a point 243 metres south of its junction with the A456.

A copy of the draft Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and a Statement of Highways England’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during opening hours at Hereford City Council, Town Clerk’s Office, Town Hall, St. Owen Street, HR1 2PJ; Shropshire Council, Shirehall, Abbey Friargate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6ND; or may be seen at, or obtained by application to, Highways England, The Cube, 199 Wharfside Street, Birmingham, B1 1RN.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to Darren Hayward at Highways England at the address given above. The objection must be received no later than 1 February 2018.

When submitting an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
