THE GLA ROADS AND SIDE ROADS (LEWISHAM) RED ROUTE CONSOLIDATION) TRAFFIC ORDER 2007 A20 AND A21 GLA ROADS (MOLESWORTH STREET, RENNELL STREET AND LEWISHAM HIGH STREET) VARIATION ORDER 2018

THE GLA ROADS (LONDON BOROUGH OF LEWISHAM) (BUS PRIORITY) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2009 A20 GLA ROAD (MOLESWORTH STREET AND LEWISHAM HIGH STREET) VARIATION ORDER 2018

1. Transport for London, hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general nature and effect of the Orders will be to formalise:

(1) the introduction of double red lines no stopping at any time controls on A10 Rennell Street between its junctions with Molesworth Street and Lewisham High Street;

(2) the replacement of the single red lines, no stopping on any day 7am to 7pm with double red Lines no stopping at any time, on Molesworth Street between Loampit Vale and the pelican crossing adjacent to the Street entrance to the Lewisham Shopping Centre;

(3) the replacement of the single red lines, no stopping Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm with double red lines no stopping at any time, outside Nos.62 to 68 Lewisham High Street;

(4) the removal of the parking and disabled persons’ vehicles bay outside Lewisham House, Molesworth Street;

(5) the change of the times of operation of the disabled persons’ vehicles bay Lewisham House, Molesworth Street from no stopping Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm except disabled person’ vehicles only to no stopping at any time except disabled person’s’ vehicles maximum stay 3 hours;

(6) the removal of the loading, unloading and disabled persons’ vehicles bay at the western kerb of Molesworth Street northeast of Rennell Street,

(7) the redefinition of stopping controls on Molesworth Street, Lewisham High Street and Station Road to reflect the changes to the road layout;

(8) the Introduction of a southbound bus lane on Molesworth Street from Station Road for a distance of 74 Metres;

(9) the shortening of the existing right turn only bus lane on Lewisham High Street between the Police Headquarters and the clock tower by 7 metres at its northern end;

(10) the removal of the southbound bus lane on Lewisham High Street between St Stephen’s Grove and the police headquarters.

3. The roads which would be affected by the Orders are Molesworth Street, Rennell Street, Lewisham High Street and Station Road.

4. A copy of the Orders, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Orders and copies of any Orders revoked, suspended or varied by the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of:

• Transport for London, Streets Traffic Order Team (NP/REGULATION/STOT), Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ.

• Area Manager, Lewisham Central Library, 199 – 201 Lewisham High Street, London SE13 6LG.

5. All objections and other representations to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and representations must be sent to Transport for London, Streets Traffic Order Team, Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ quoting reference NP/REGULATION/STOT/TRO, GLA/2018/0008-0009 to arrive before 31st January 2018. Objections and other representations may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
