HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

THE LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCIL (A565 CLASSIFIED ROAD HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENTS) (NO 2) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2016

THE SECRETARY OF STATE for Transport hereby gives notice that on 12th December 2017, he has confirmed, with modifications, the above Order which was made by Liverpool City Council under sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 and which, as confirmed, authorises the Council to –

(a) improve highways;

(b) stop up highways;

(c) stop up private means of access to premises; and

(d) provide new means of access to premises,

at Ensor Street, Stone Street and Walter Street all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road known as A565 Great Howard Street/Derby Road which the Council are proposing to improve between its junction with Chadwick Street in the south and its junction with Millers Bridge in the north.

COPIES of the above-mentioned Order and of the plans referred to therein have been deposited and may be seen at all reasonable hours free of charge at the offices of Liverpool City Council, Municipal Buildings, Dale Street, Liverpool L2 2DH.

ANY PERSON aggrieved by or desiring to question the validity of any provision within the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement or regulation made has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of 10 January 2018, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision included.
