THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (FREE PARKING PLACES) (PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES) (AMENDMENT NO. 60) ORDER 2018

DISABLED PERSONS PARKING BAYS

VARIOUS STREETS THROUGHOUT THE BOROUGH

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on 4 January 2018 made the above Order under sections 6, and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The principal objective of the Disabled Persons’ Parking Places Order is to introduce a number of parking places for disabled persons where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult, and to discontinue a number of parking places previously provided where the demand for such bays no longer exists.

3. The Disabled Persons’ Parking Places Order will introduce a parking bay for disabled persons’ vehicles, operating “at any time” in the following streets:

Beaufort Road, Ham; Lock Road, Ham;
Beverley Road, Hampton Wick; Madrid Road, Barnes;
Bicester Road, Richmond; Meadow Close, Whitton;
Borland Road, Teddington; Nelson Road, Whitton;
Byron Close, Hampton; Parkshot, Richmond;
Cleveland Road, Barnes; Ross Road, Twickenham;
Clifford Road, Petersham; Rutland Close, Mortlake;
Fellbrook, Ham; St Pauls Road, Richmond;
Grange Avenue, Twickenham; Stanley Gardens Road, Teddington;
Haliburton Road, Twickenham; Stretton Road, Ham;
Hatherop Road, Hampton; Tower Road, Twickenham; and
Kings Road, Richmond; Whitton Dene, Hounslow.
Lincoln Avenue, Twickenham;

The Disabled Persons’ Parking Places Order will also revoke the existing parking bays for disabled persons’ vehicles in the vicinity of the following properties: -

14 Carrington Road, Richmond; 69/71 High Street Hampton Wick;
4 Connaught Avenue, Mortlake; Dorset House, Stanton Road, Barnes;
26 Victoria Road, Teddington ; 27 Stanley Road, East Sheen.

5. Copies of the Order, which comes into force on 8 January 2018, plans showing the location and effect of the Order and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order: -

(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 17/055 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

(b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

6. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
