THE NEWHAM (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 201*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham proposes to make the above mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Disabled Resident Parking Places Orders would be to:

(a) designate disabled resident parking places for use only by persons who are resident within the East Ham South East, East Ham South West and Plaistow North Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), who meet the current criteria for provision of parking places for disabled persons and who display disabled resident parking permits on their vehicles. Certain other vehicles may wait in the parking places in certain circumstances, e.g. to load or unload goods or pick up or set down passengers. Parking places would be designated outside each of the following locations:-

East Ham South East Controlled Parking Zone – Blaney Crescent E6, (adjacent to Nos. 135A–135C/137A–37C Folkestone Road); No. 59 Charlemont Road E6; Nos. 133/135 Charlemont Road E6; Nos. 144/146 Charlemont Road E6; No. 131 Flanders Road E6; Nos. 43/45 Folkestone Road E6; No. 15 Hartshorn Gardens E6; No. 60 Langton Avenue E6; Nos. 65/67 St Albans Avenue E6; Nos. 1-6 Wadhurst Court, Telham Road E6 and Nos. 65/67 Wolsey Avenue E6.

East Ham South West Controlled Parking Zone – No. 32 Brooks Avenue E6; Nos. 10/12 Hollington Road E6; No. 67 Hollington Road E6; Nos. 14/16 Lonsdale Avenue E6; Nos. 4/6 Monmouth Road E6; Nos. 25/27 Monmouth Road E6; No. 49 Monmouth Road E6; Nos. 79/81 Mortimer Road E6 and Nos. 30/32 Roman Road E6.

Plaistow North Controlled Parking Zone – No. 41 Pelly Road E13

(b) relocate the disabled resident parking places outside the following locations in East Ham South East CPZ:

(i) outside Nos. 37-47 Wellstead Road so that it would lie 4.5 metres north-west of its current location;

(ii) north-east of 84 Vicarage Lane so that it would lie 11 metres north-east of its current location;

(c) revoke redundant disabled resident parking places in various roads.

3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Order would be to introduce waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ (double yellow lines) for a length of 9.5 metres outside No. 13 Bering Walk.

4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Friday at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, until six weeks after the date on which the Orders are made or until the proposed Orders are withdrawn, as appropriate.

6. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing by 24 January 2018. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. 7. Persons objecting to the proposals should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 this Council may be legally obliged to make any comments in response to this notice open to public inspection.
