THE EALING (PARKING PLACES) (PAY AND DISPLAY) (ACTON CENTRAL - K AND K1 ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 201*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Ealing Council, in connection with Public realm improvements and the provision of a restricted parking zone, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.

2. The general effect of the Waiting Restriction Order would be to amend existing waiting restrictions to apply at any time and introduce restrictions on loading or unloading vehicles that would apply “at any time” in Churchfield Road between the north-eastern kerb-line of Burlington Gardens and the south-western kerb-line of Alfred Road.

3. The general effect of the Loading Places Order would be to relocate the loading place in Churchfield Road outside Datacount which would be available only for the loading or unloading of vehicles. The loading place would continue to operate from 7am to 7pm Mondays to Fridays.

4. The general effect of the Pay and Display Parking Order would be to remove the permit holders’ exemption from the pay and display parking place in Churchfield Road (south side between Burlington Gardens and Alfred Road so that the bays are for pay and display or telephone parking by visitors only. The charges at these bays would be unchanged and the maximum stay remains at 2 hours. The public realm scheme reduces the number of bays from 13 to 10.

5. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council under the powers of section 90c of the Highways Act 1980, propose to provide (a) in Alfred Road at its junction with Churchfield Road a 75mm high entry treatment which would have a length of 8.6 metres including 1.5 metre ramps, (b) in Burlington Gardens at its junction with Churchfield Road a 75mm high entry treatment which would have a length of 8.6 metres including 1.5 metre ramps and. in Myrtle Road at its junction with Churchfield Road a 75mm high entry treatment which would have a length of 8.6 metres including 1.5 metre ramps.

7. The proposed Orders, other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order and traffic calming measures including plans, are available by e-mail from Highwayservices@ealing.gov.uk or by inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders.

8. Any objections or other representations about any of the proposed Orders or the traffic calming measures should be sent in writing by e-mail to Highwayservices@ealing.gov.uk or by post to Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL, quoting reference ORD 4087 until the 15th January 2018. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
