HE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 284) ORDER 2017

THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. 13) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 12th December 2017 made the above Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be, in connection with the Westminster Ceremonial Streetscapes Improvement Project, to:

(a) pedestrianise the northern arm of Queen Anne’s Gate (leading to St. James’s Park) so that it will be closed to vehicular traffic; and

(b) extend the existing double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions across the newly aligned southern kerb of the northern arm of Queen Anne’s Gate.

3. The Orders, which will come into force on 22nd December 2017, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until 23rd January 2018 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at WSP, Palace Gardens Suite, 27th Floor, Portland House, Bressenden Place, London, SW1E 5RS.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
