BIKEHANGAR (SECURE CYCLE PARKING PLACES)

ANSON ROAD, AVENELL ROAD AND LECONFIELD ROAD

THE ISLINGTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 201*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington proposes to make the above mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

2. The purpose of the Orders would be to effect the installation of secure bicycle storage spaces (Bikehangars) in certain locations. One (1) bikehangar unit will have a storage space capacity of up to three (3) bicycles. There will be two (2) bikehangar units installed in each location.

3. There will be an annual rental charge of £104.00 (One Hundred and Four Pounds only), for one bicycle storage space with a deposit of £20.00 (Twenty Pounds only).

4. The general effect of the Parking Places Order would be to, amend certain parking places on the carriageway so as to introduce bikehangars (secure cycle parking places) in the following locations:

a) Anson Road, on the flank wall of No. 1 Brecknock Road;

b) Avenell Road, opposite Nos. 11 to 18 Avenell Mansions, Avenell Road; and

c) Lecconfield Road, outside the flank wall of No. 29 Poets Road.

5. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order would be to, introduce and extend double yellow lines in locations where the bikehangars are being introduced in:

a) Anson Road, on the flank wall of No. 1 Brecknock Road;

b) Avenell Road, opposite Nos. 11 to 18 Avenell Mansions, Avenell Road; and

c) Lecconfield Road, outside the flank wall of No. 29 Poets Road.

6. Make various amendments to Traffic Management Orders in order to bring them in line with the current on-street layout.

7. A copy of the proposed Orders, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, at the following location:

8. Any person who wishes to object, or to make other representations about the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing, specifying the grounds on which they are made to Public Realm, P O Box 2025, PERSHORE, WR10 9BU (quoting reference 5315), within the period of twenty-one days from the date on which this Notice is published.
