Atlantic Mutual International Limited (hereinafter referred to as “AMIL”), the UK Branch of Atlantic Mutual Insurance Company (“AMIC-UK”) and Bothnia International Insurance Company Limited (“Bothnia”)
Notice is hereby given that an application was on 20 November 2017 made in the High Court of Justice by the above named AMIL, AMIC-UK and Bothnia for an order under section 111(1) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (the “Act”) sanctioning a scheme (the “Scheme”) providing for: (i) the transfer to Bothnia of the rights and obligations attaching to the entire insurance and reinsurance business underwritten by and on behalf of AMIL; and (ii) the transfer to Bothnia of the rights and obligations attaching to the entire insurance and reinsurance business underwritten by and on behalf of AMIC-UK.
A copy of a report on the terms of the Scheme prepared by an independent expert in accordance with Section 109 of the Act and a statement setting out the terms of the Scheme and containing a summary of that report may be obtained free of charge by writing to the offices of Compre Services (UK) Limited, 4th Floor, St Clare House, 30-33 Minories, London EC3N 1DD, by calling +44 20 3551 6524 or by emailing caroline.hobbs@compre-group.com (ref: Caroline Hobbs). The application is directed to be heard before a Judge of the Business and Property Courts of England and Wales at 7 Rolls Building, Fetter Lane, London, EC4A 1NL, United Kingdom on 7 May 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter. Confirmation of the date of the hearing will be posted at http://compre-group.com/AMIL-AMIC-UK-Bothnia-part-vii-information. Any person (including any employee of AMIL, AMIC-UK or Bothnia) who alleges that he or she would be adversely affected by the carrying out of the Scheme may appear at the time of the hearing in person or by Counsel. Any person who intends so to appear, and any policyholder of AMIL, AMIC-UK or Bothnia who dissents from the Scheme but does not intend so to appear are requested to give written notice, not less than two clear days prior to the date of the hearing, of such intention to dissent to the solicitors names below.
