The Department for Communities has made a Statutory Rule entitled The Social Security (Invalid Care Allowance) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2017 (S.R. 2017 No. 67), which comes into operation on 10 April 2017.

These Regulations make changes to the Social Security (Invalid Care Allowance) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1976 to increase the amount of weekly earnings that a person can receive before being treated as gainfully employed for the purposes of entitlement to carer's allowance.
