ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 6
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (FREE PARKING PLACES) (PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES) (AMENDMENT NO. 56) ORDER 2017
DISABLED PERSONS PARKING BAYS
VARIOUS STREETS THROUGHOUT THE BOROUGH

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on 19 January 2017 made the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The principal objective of the Order is to introduce a number of parking places for disabled persons where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult, and to discontinue a number of parking place previously provided where the demand for such bays no longer exists.
3. The Order will introduce a parking bay for disabled persons’ vehicles, operating “at any time” in the following streets:
| Albion Road, Twickenham; | Kew Foot Road, Richmond; |
| Bushwood Road, Kew; | Kings Road, East Sheen; |
| Cedar Avenue, Twickenham; | Riverview Gardens, Twickenham; and |
| Greville Road, Richmond; | Vivienne Close. Twickenham |
4. The Order will revoke the existing parking bay for disabled persons’ vehicles in the vicinity of the following properties:-
| 2 Addison Road, Teddington; | east of the access road to 52-80 |
| 83 Ennerdale Road, Richmond; | Buckingham Road, Ham; |
| 17 Grove Road, Barnes; | 6 Moor Mead Road, Twickenham; |
| 45 Park Road, Teddington; | 19 Parr’s Place, Hampton; |
| 101 Rosecroft Gardens, Twickenham; | 110 St Leonard’s Rd, East Sheen; |
| 89 St Margarets Grove. Twickenham; | 53 Strathmore Road, Teddington; and |
| 42 Wellington Road Hampton. |
5. Copies of the Order, which comes into force on 23 January 2017, plans showing the location and effect of the Order and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order:-
(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 16/129 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and
(b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices
6. Persons wishing to question the validity of this Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court
