THE DONAGHADEE HARBOUR (TRANSFER OF HARBOUR UNDERTAKING) ORDER (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2015
The Department for Regional Development, (DRD) has made a Statutory Rule entitled The Donaghadee Harbour (Transfer of Harbour Undertaking) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015 (S.R. No. 22), which comes into operation on 1st April 2015.
The Order is made under the powers conferred by section 1(1) and (2) of, and Schedule 1 and Part 1 of Schedule 2 to, the Harbours Act (Northern Ireland) 1970.
Purpose of the Statutory Rule
This Order will establish the North Down and Ards District Council as the local harbour authority for Donaghadee Harbour and would seek to transfer the functions, property, rights and obligations of the Donaghadee Harbour Commissioners to the Council. The Order would also seek to dissolve the Harbour Commissioners.
