RELATING TO DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to make the Orders detailed below under sections 6, 45, 46, 47 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
2. The principal objective of the Orders is to provide for disabled persons a parking facility where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult and revoke those parking bays that are no longer required.
3. The general effect of The Sutton (Disabled Persons Parking Places) (No. *) (Amendment No. *) Order 201* will be to:—
(a) provide a parking place in which only vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park in the following locations, to operate at all times:
• outside Nos. 175 and 177 Benhill Road, Sutton;
• outside Nos. 36 Richland Avenue, Coulsdon;
• outside No. 64 and 66, and adjacent to No. 68 Shaftesbury Road, Carshalton; and
• outside No. 27 Stanley Square, Carshalton.
(b) revoke the disabled persons parking places in the following locations:—
• outside No. 443 and 445 Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton;
• outside No. 6 Highview Avenue, Wallington;
• outside Nos. 41 and 43 Lymescote Gardens, Sutton;
• outside No. 35 Poulton Avenue, Sutton;
• outside No. 20 Sawtry Close, Carshalton;
• outside No. 39 Sydney Road, Sutton;
• outside No. 49 Victoria Avenue, Wallington;
• outside No. 36 Woodstock Avenue, Sutton; and
• outside No. 100 Welbeck Road, Carshalton.
(c) redefine an existing disabled persons parking place adjacent to Wallington Baptist Church in Queens Road, Wallington (reduces two bays down to one bay).
4. The general effect of The Sutton (On-Street Parking Places) (Sutton Controlled Parking Zone) (No. *) (Amendment No. *) Order 201* will be to reinstate a length of permit parking place outside No. 39 Sydney Road, Sutton.
5. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders (and of the Orders that would be revoked or amended by the proposed Orders) and plans showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected at the Council’s Civic Offices at St. Nicholas Way, Sutton and at the Environment and Neighbourhood Offices at 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. 6.
