THE BRENT (GOODS VEHICLES) (FREE LOADING PLACES) (NO. 1) ORDER 2015

THE BRENT (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 435) ORDER 2015

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent on 5 January 2015 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.

2. The general effect of the ‘Goods Vehicles Free Loading Places’ Order will be to:—

(a) designate a free loading place in the length of street specified in the Schedule to this Notice to operate ‘at any time’ (loading/unloading limited to 20 minutes, no return for 2 hours);

(b) specify that goods carrying vehicles constructed or adapted for use for the carriage of goods or burden of any description and is not drawing a trailer, may be used, subject to the provisions of the Order, for the purpose of continuous loading and unloading during the permitted hours.

3. The general effect of the ‘Waiting and Loading Restriction’ Order will be to amend the ‘at any time’ waiting restriction in Berkeley Road to accommodate the loading bay specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

4. A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on 19 January 2015, of the map of the relevant areas and of the relevant Order of 1979 (and of any Orders which have amended that Order) can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ.

5. Copies of the Orders may be purchased from the address mentioned in paragraph 4 above.

6. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

Free loading places at any time (loading / unloading limited to 20 minutes, no return for 2 hours)

BERKELEY ROAD, the north-east side, from a point 8.20 metres north-west of a point opposite the south-easternmost building wall of Nos.1-10 Circle Court, Berkeley Road south-eastward for a distance of 13.20 metres.
