The Queen has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 1 October 2014 to appoint Jan Thijs Alfons Joosten, Esquire, Th.M., Ph.D., to the Office and Place of Regius Professor of Hebrew in the University of Oxford, vacant by the resignation of Professor Hugh Godfrey Maturin Williamson, M.A., Ph.D., D.D.
