NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO RENEW A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Notice is hereby given that an application is being made to the Environment Agency Anglian Region, by Frederick Hiam Limited, Manor Farm, Ixworth Thorpe, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, to renew Licence 6/33/41/G/164 (Hall Farm Bardwell) for abstraction of the following quantities of water from a borehole at National Grid Ref TL 942 725, in the parish of Bardwell, in the district of St Edmundsbury, in the county of Suffolk, for the purpose of spray irrigation: 109.1 cubic metres per hour, 2,400 cubic metres per day, 68,200 cubic metres between 1 March and 31 October each year. A copy of the application and of any map, plan or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at Frederick Hiam Limited, Manor Farm, Ixworth Thorpe, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, at all reasonable hours between 23 April 2003 and 23 May 2003. Notice of Application to Vary Licences to Abstract Water Notice is hereby given that an application is being made to the Environment Agency Anglian Region, by Frederick Hiam Limited, Manor Farm, Ixworth Thorpe, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, to vary the following licences: (a) Licence No 6/33/40/S/8/9 (Letter F Farm) to abstract water within Burnt Fen IDB, from drains, dykes and watercourses in the parish of Littleport, in the district of East Cambs, in the county of Cambridgeshire. (b) Licence No 6/33/39/S/46 (Putney Hill Farm, Fodder Fen) to abstract water with Middle Fen and Mere IDB from Crooked Drain and other drains, dykes and watercourses in the parish of Soham and Ely, in the district of East Cambridgeshire, in the county of Cambridgeshire. (c) Licence No 6/33/39/S/56 (Pratts Farm, Lark Grange) to abstract water within Burnt Fen and Mildenhall IDB’s from the River Lark between National Grid TL622 800 and TL616 817 and other drains, dykes and watercourses in the parish of Prickwillow, in the district of East Cambridgeshire, in the county of Cambridgeshire, and in the parish of Mildenhall, in the district of Forest Heath, in the county of Suffolk. The variations applied for are to maintain the quantities currently authorised for all 3 licences for abstraction for the purpose of spray irrigation between 1 March and 31 October each year as detailed below: (a) Licence No 6/33/40/S/8/9 (Letter F Farm), 113.6 cubic metres per hour, 1,364 cubic metres per day, 54,500 cubic metres each year. (b) Licence No 6/33/39/S/46 (Putney Hill Farm) 181.8 cubic metres per hour, 2,727 cubic metres per day, 109,100 cubic metres each year. (c) Licence No 6/33/39/S/56 (Pratts Farm) 113.6 cubic metres per hour, 1,705 cubic metres per day, 68,200 cubic metres per year. Copies of the applications and of any maps, plans or other documents submitted with them may be inspected, free of charge, at Frederick Hiam Limited, Shippea Hill Farm, Prickwillow, Cambridgeshire, at all reasonable hours between 23 April 2003 and 23 May 2003.
