STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS AT ECCLES, SALFORD

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (City of Salford) (No. 2) Order 1999”, authorising the stopping-up of various highways within an area bounded by Hampson Street, Beech Street, New Lane and the passage to the rear of 12-20 Atherton Way, Eccles. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport), Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE (quoting Ref. GO/TNW 5085/35/1/77). It may also be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Salford City Council, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 5th August 1999, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
