COAST PROTECTION ACT 1949
The Borough of Poole, acting in their capacity as coast protection authority, hereby give notice under subsection (i) of section 5 of the above Act that they propose to carry out coast protection work as described herein at Canford Cliffs, Poole, Dorset, between Canford Cliffs Chine and Branksome Chine. The work will consist of the construction of five rock groynes and a beach recharge if proved necessary after a period of beach monitoring. The estimated cost of the work is £1,520,000. Any person may, not later than 24th June 1999, serve a written notice of objection to the above proposal on the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and on the above-mentioned authority. Any such notice must contain a statement of the grounds of objection and must be sent by pre-paid post to Flood and Coastal Defence with Emergencies Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Eastbury House, 30-34 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7TL, and to the clerk of the authority at the address given below.
