CHANGE OF NAME TO THE INSTITUTE OF TRADE MARK ATTORNEYS

The Institute of Trade Mark Agents (Company No. 294396) has, with effect from 20th January 1999, formally changed its name to The Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys.
The Institute is the body charged with responsibility under the Register of Trade Mark Agents’ Rules (S.I. 1990 No. 1458) for keeping a register of trade mark agents who have obtained the requisite qualifications and, in consultation with the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents, for making appropriate provision for such qualifications. These and other functions and responsibilities are unaffected by the change of name and will continue to be performed by the Institute as before, but all concerned should note its new style and title.
