FINTONA STREAM BRANCH (A) EXTENSION

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for Northern Ireland hereby gives Notice in pursuance of Article 21 of The Drainage (Northern Ireland) Order 1973 as amended by the Drainage (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 that it proposes to designate the above watercourse to facilitate minor works at 5 Tattymoyle Road, Fintona, BT78 2NR, Co Tyrone.

The designation refers to 70m of watercourse that traverses the property at Brookwood House, No 5 Tattymoyle Road, Fintona. As part of the construction of a new grille and associated access structure it has been found necessary to extend the culvert 75 m upstream from the existing grille location.

Following consultations with its environmental advisers the Department has determined that the works are not likely to have significant environmental effects and does not intend to prepare an Environmental Statement.

Any person who:—

(i) considers that their interests will be prejudicially affected or,

(ii) wishes to make representations with regard to the Department’s intention not to prepare an Environmental Statement may send any observations in writing to :

Carn Grille

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for Northern Ireland hereby gives Notice in pursuance of Article 21 of The Drainage (Northern Ireland) Order 1973 as amended by the Drainage (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 that it proposes to carry out minor works at Carn, Co Fermanagh.

The proposed works on the Carn Drain is required to reduce flood risk to a property and the Barnalacken Road in the Townland of Carn. These works will also improve the drainage outlet from adjacent agricultural lands.

Works will include the construction of inlet structures with debris grilles, works to hydraulically improve the venting capacity of the existing sinkholes and minor channel works.

Following consultations with its environmental advisers the Department has determined that the works are not likely to have significant environmental effects and does not intend to prepare an Environmental Statement.
