Coronavirus (COVID-19): Important service announcement - changes to post and fax services

The Gazette has robust plans in place to maintain services for our customers and protect the welfare of our employees during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. In order to comply with the latest government guidance on home working, it will be necessary to temporarily introduce some changes.

If you’re placing a notice in The Gazette, it may be quicker and easier to use our online services:

Our Customer Services team will continue to be available 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday, by email, phone and live chat.

However, there are some temporary changes required to our post and fax services:

  • Notices can no longer be accepted for publication by post or fax from 5 November 2020. Please place your notice online (see above) or email it to customer.services@thegazette.co.uk and we will be able to place it for you.
  • If you place a deceased estates notice online, please upload your supporting document, rather than posting it to us. This will allow your notice to be approved for publication in a timely manner. If you post your document and we are unable to collect the post there may be a delay in your notice publishing.
  • If you have used the deceased estates notice forwarding service we may contact you to confirm any claims can be opened to be sent by email to you, with the original claim sent by post at a later date. If we are unable to collect the post we will forward any claims to you at the next available opportunity. You may want to take this into consideration when distributing an estate. If you are in any doubt, please contact us https://www.thegazette.co.uk/contact-us
  • If you wish to make a claim on a deceased estate where the address for claims is: The London Gazette, PO Box 3584, Norwich, NR7 7WD, please email your claim to customer.services@thegazette.co.uk to ensure that it is forwarded in a timely manner. Failure to do so could mean that your claim is not received before the claim date has passed. If you have recently posted a claim to us, please also email it to customer.services@thegazette.co.uk
