www.thegazette.co.uk is a site operated by The Stationery Office Limited ("We"). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 03049649 and have our registered office at Aldgate Tower, 2 Leman Street, London, E1 8FA.

The Gazette (which includes the London, Belfast and Edinburgh Gazette) is the official public record and the United Kingdom’s longest continuously serving published newspaper. It has been published since 1665. The Gazette publishes official, legal and regulatory notices pursuant to legislation and on behalf of the persons who are required by law to notify the public at large of certain information. For the avoidance of doubt all references to “The Gazette” shall include the London, Belfast and Edinburgh (and any supplements to) Gazettes, as well as all mediums, including the online and paper versions of The Gazette.

We publish The Gazette under the authority and superintendence of the Controller of Her Majesty’s Stationery Office at The National Archives.

Which country's laws apply to any disputes?

If you are a consumer, please note that these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

If you are a business, these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
