THE HARINGEY (ELECTRICAL VEHICLE CHARGING POINTS) (NO. 1) (AMENDMENT NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 2010

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the Orders would be to introduce new ‘car club’ parking spaces in the following locations:
  • 3 The Council also propose to introduce new electric vehicle permit parking spaces in:- Parkland Road, N22, at the side of No. 19 Caxton Road (x2 spaces), in which electric vehicles may wait ‘at any time’ for a maximum period of 4 hours providing that continuous charging of the vehicle is taking place.
  • 4 Copies of the proposed Orders, the Orders being amended and of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders and plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders may be inspected during a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published, during normal office working hours at Highways Asset Management Group, River Park House, 1st Floor (South), 225 High Road, Wood Green, N22 8HQ.
  • 5 Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Highways Asset Management Group, River Park House, 1st Floor (South), 225 High Road, Wood Green, N22 8HQ within 21 days of the date on which this Notice is published.

[NOTE: all bay lengths would be 5.5 metres in length and would be 1 space at each location unless otherwise stated. The introduction of bays may result in a loss of existing parking facilities as stated below.]

  • c Rosebery Road, N10, at the side of No. 86 Alexandra Park Road;
  • d Finsbury Road, N22, opposite No. 82;
  • e Warwick Road, N11, opposite the side of The Ranelagh Public House (loss of shared-use parking space);
  • f Alton Road, N22, at the side of No. 25 Clonmell Road;
  • g Hurst Avenue, N8, the south side, approximately 18 metres east of the north-western boundary of No. 1 (2x spaces) (loss of residents’ parking spaces);
  • h Hatherley Gardens, N8, the north-east side, approximately 10 metres north-west of its junction with Haringey Park (2x spaces);
  • i Marriot Road, N10, the south side, at the side of No. 113;
  • j Twyford Avenue, N2, at the side of No. 78;
  • k Pages Lane, N10, opposite Nos. 37 and 39;
  • l Cavendish Road, N4, at the side of St. Paul’s Church (loss of residents’ parking space);
  • m Hewitt Road, N8, opposite No. 2a (loss of residents’ parking space);
  • n Fairfax Road, N8, outside Nos. 1 to 6 Greaves Court (loss of residents’ parking space);
  • o Willoughby Road, N8, opposite No. 8 (loss of residents’/business parking space);
  • p Sheldon Avenue, N6, the north-west side, approximately 10 metres south-west of The Hall (loss of residents’ parking space);
  • q Tudor Close, N6, at the rear of No. 2 (x2 spaces) (loss of residents’ parking spaces);
  • r Beechwood Road, N8, at the side of No. 79 Nightingale Lane;
  • s Summerland Gardens, N10, in the car park (x2 spaces);
  • t Redston Road, N8, at the side of No. 108 Priory Road;
  • u Wood Vale, N10, at the side of No. 117 Cranley Gardens;
  • v Parkland Road, N22, at the side of No. 19 Caxton Road (x2 spaces);

(bb) Nelson Road, N8, at the side of No. 9 Ridge Road;

(cc) Osborne Road, N4, at the side of No. 11 Victoria Road (loss of residents’ parking space);

(dd) Antill Road, N15, at the side of No. 82 Springfield Road (loss of residents’ parking space);

(ee) Colless Road, N15, at the side of Nos. 184/186 Page Green Terrace (loss of residents’ parking space);

(ff) Hollington Road, N17, at the side of No. 40a Rosebery Road;

(gg) Jarrow Road, N17, at the side of Nos. 173-179 Erskine Crescent;

(hh) Tower Gardens Road, N17, opposite Nos. 41 and 43;

(ii) Leith Road, N17, at the side of No. 33 Perth Road (loss of residents’ parking space).

Vehicles displaying a car club permit would be permitted to wait in the above parking spaces “at any time” and in any resident or shared-use parking space of the CPZ in which a car club vehicle has been designated. Permits will only be issued to a bonafide car club operator as approved by the Council. The cost of the permits would be as follows:

  • i Permit charges per household for emissions based model. Vehicles registered on or after 23 March 2001
