EXPERIMENTAL WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS IN GREENFORD ROAD AND SOUTH EALING ROAD

THE EALING (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC ORDER 2009

1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing, on the 29 ^th October 2009 made above mentioned Order under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the Order will be
- a to impose waiting restrictions applying at any time in the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice;
- b to impose waiting restrictions applying between 7am and 7pm on Mondays to Saturdays in the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice;
- c to increase the existing waiting restrictions to apply between 7am and 7pm on Mondays to Saturdays in the length of road specified in Schedule 3 to this Notice
- d to impose restrictions on loading or unloading a vehicle applying at any time in the lengths of road specified in Schedule 4 to this Notice.
3 The Order, which will come into force on the 9 ^th November 2009, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Mouchel Limited, 6 ^th Floor, 58 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2ST, until such time as the Order ceases to have effect.

The Order provides that, subject to the provisions of section 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Council’s Director of the Built Environment for the time being, or some person authorised in that behalf by him, may, if it appears to him or that person essential:-
- a in the interest of the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of traffic;
- b in the interest of providing suitable and adequate parking facilities on the highway; or
- c for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which any road affected by the Order runs,

modify or suspend the Order or provisions contained therein.

6 Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by the 10 ^th December 2009.
7 If the provisions of the Order continue in force for a period of not less than 6 months, the Council will consider in due course whether the provisions of the Order should be reproduced and continued in force indefinitely by means of an Order made under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Anyone who wishes to object to the making of an Order under the said section of the said Act of 1984 for the purpose of such reproduction and continuation in force may, between 9 ^th November 2009 and 8 ^th May 2010, send a statement in writing of their objection and grounds thereof to the Council’s Agents Mouchel Limited, 6 ^th Floor, 58 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2ST.

New Waiting Restrictions applying at all times

Greenford Road, Greenford

the north-west side, between the common boundary of Nos. 1131 and 1133 Greenford Road and the south-western side of the accessway lying between Nos. 1135 and 1137 Greenford Road.

Schedule 2

New Waiting Restrictions applying 7am to 7pm Mondays to Saturdays

the north-west side,

i between a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 1248 and 1250 Greenford Road and a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 1290/1308 and 1292/1310 Greenford Road.
ii between a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 1322/1358 and 1324/1360 Greenford Road and a point opposite the southern wall of No. 1424 Greenford Road;

Little Ealing Lane

The north side, between a point 15 metres south-west of the western kerb-line of South Ealing Road and a point 40 metres south-west of that kerb-line.

South Ealing Road

a the east side, between a point 8.50 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Durham Road and a point 10 metres north of the north-western kerb-line of Pope’s Lane.

the west side,
- i between a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 156 and 158 South Ealing Road and a point 1.83 metres north of the northern kerb-line of North Road;
- ii between a point 1.83 metres north of the northern kerb-line of North Road and the northern kerb-line of Chandos Avenue.
