VARIOUS LOCATIONS

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 26th September 2007 made the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.

* The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 294) Order 2007;

* The City of Westminster (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No. 9) Order 2007;

* The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (A98 Zone) (Revocation No. 2) Order 2007;

* The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (A00 Zone) (Revocation No. 3) Order 2007;

* The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (B Zone) (Revocation No. 4) Order 2007;

* The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (C Zone) (No. 65) Order 2007;

* The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (D Zone) (Revocation No. 5) Order 2007;

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to introduce additional solo motorcycle parking areas and “blue badge” disabled persons’ parking places throughout the City. At certain locations, the existing parking facilities will be replaced.

A brief description of the location of the additional/revised parking facilities in each road (and an indication of the relevant controlled parking zone) is set out in the Schedule to this Notice.

Please note that the proposals advertised on 19th July 2007, relating to Allitsen Road, Alma Square, Carlton House Terrace, Charles II Street, Delaware Road, Devonshire Street (between Upper Wimpole Street and Harley Street), Dorset Street, Hyde Park Square, King Street (SW1), Pall Mall, Ryder Street and Waterloo Place, have been abandoned.

3. The Orders, which will come into force on 1st October 2007, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6AJ, until 7th November 2007.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
