HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 116
PROPOSED STOPPING UP OF AREA OF HIGHWAY AT FISHPONDS ROAD, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northamptonshire County Council being the local highway authority, intends to apply to Northampton Magistrates Court sitting at The Court House, Campbell Square, Northampton, NN1 3LZ on Friday 15th June 2007 at 2.15pm for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping up of part of the Public highway at Fishponds Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire on the ground that it is unnecessary for public use. The area of highway to be stopped up is described in the Schedule below.
On hearing the application, any person to whom this Notice has been given, any person who uses the highway, or any other person who may be aggrieved by the making of this Order, has a right to be heard.

Description of Highway to be stopped up
The highway land located at Fishponds Road, Billing, Northamptonshire, having an approximate area of 251 square metres shown coloured red on the plan. The plan showing the area in question may be inspected at the offices of the Head of Legal Service, County Hall, Northampton, NN1 1DN between the hours of 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm Monday to Friday inclusive (Ref:L/SM/H-000528).
