TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER NO 12 2006

FOUNDRY LANE

Ipswich Borough Council (“the Council”) intends not less than 21 days from the date of this notice to make an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”). The effect of this will be to close Foundry Lane, Ipswich, and to suspend the limited waiting provisions on its east side. Pedestrian access will be maintained. The Order will also revoke the Ipswich Borough Council (Foundry Lane) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order No 2 2005.
An alternative route will be via Bridge Street, A182, Foundation Street and College Street, and vice versa.
The Council are satisfied in accordance with section 15(2) of the Act that the execution of the works will take longer than 18 months to complete. Accordingly it is intended that the Order will be in force from 31 July 2006, and it will be revoked once construction works being carried out have been completed, which we anticipate will take around 2 years.
