STATEMENT OF THE PROPOSALS MATTERS FOR GATESHEAD COUNCIL’S PRE-SUBMISSION DRAFT STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

In accordance with Regulation 26 of the above Regulations, Gateshead Council (the Council) gives notice of Development Plan Documents matters:

Title: Pre-submission draft Statement of Community Involvement
The Council has prepared its pre-submission draft Statement of Community Involvement document.
Subject Matter:
This draft Statement of Community Involvement sets out the Council’s preferred approach for involving local communities in the preparation of the Local Development Framework and during the consideration of planning applications.
Area:
The draft Statement of Community Involvement relates to the administrative area of Gateshead Council.
Period in which Representations must be made:
Representations in respect of the draft Statement of Community Involvement should be sent in writing to: Spatial Development, Planning & Environmental Strategy, Development & Enterprise, Gateshead Council, Civic Centre, Regent Street, Gateshead NE8 1HH or Email: LDF@gateshead.gov.uk

All representations should be received before 4 August 2006.
Representations should specify the matters to which they relate and grounds on which they are made. Only those representations, which are made in writing, or by email and arrive at the address or email address specified above, within the six-week period, will have a right to have their comments considered. All representations will be acknowledged and considered by the Council before the draft Statement of Community involvement is submitted to the Secretary of State. Representations may be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the publication of the Inspector’s recommendations and/or the adoption of the Statement of Community Involvement by the Council.
Statement of the availability of the pre-submission draft Statement of Community Involvement; Copies of the pre-submission draft Statement of Community Involvement, leaflet, response form and guidance notes can be obtained from:

Copies of the documents are available for inspection, during normal office opening hours, at the following locations, for a period of 6 weeks between 23 June 2006 and 4 August 2006.
