CHURCHBURY LANE AREA—20 MPH ZONE AND AT ANY TIME WAITING RESTRICTIONS

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (The Council) on 8 May 2006 made: (a) the Enfield (20 mph Speed Limit) (No 1) Traffic Order 2006; and (b) the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No 6) Order 2006, under sections 6, 84(1) and (2) and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2. The general effect of the Speed Limit Order will be to impose a maximum speed limit of 20 miles per hour for motor vehicles on the roads and lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this notice. 3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Amendment Order will be to introduce new “at any time” waiting restrictions in parts of the streets specified in Schedule 2 to this notice. 4. A copy of each of the Orders, which will come into operation on 5 June 2006, and other relevant documents can be inspected at the Reception Desk, “B” Block, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made. 5. A copy of the Orders may be obtained from Traffic Transportation, The Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD. (Note: there will be a charge for each Order requested). Further information may be obtained by telephoning Traffic & Transportation Services, telephone 020 8379 3550. 6. Any person desiring to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Orders are made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. Churchbury Lane, from the northern kerbline of Parsonage Lane to a point 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of Tenniswood Road. Churchbury Road, from the western kerbline of Churchbury Lane to a point 13.1 metres west of that kerbline measured on the north side; and a point 12.3 metres west of that kerbline measured on the south side. Graeme Road, from a point 2.6 metres west of the common boundary of Nos 44 and 46 Graeme Road to its eastern extremity.
