MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS—VARIOUS LOCATIONS

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames on 8 May 2006, made the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended: The Kingston Upon Thames (Parking Places) (Special Parking Area) (Grove Area) (Amendment No 8) Traffic Order 2006; The Kingston Upon Thames (Parking Places) (Norbiton) (Amendment No 6) Traffic Order 2006; The Kingston Upon Thames (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No 32) Traffic Order 2006; 2. The general effect of the Orders, which will come into force on 15 May 2006, will be to make various minor modifications to on-street parking provision, as detailed below:

Elm Road, New Malden to remove a redundant disabled persons’ parking bay from the west side (outside No 68);
Gladstone Road, Kingston to introduce additional permit holder spaces on the east side (adjacent to Nos 33/35);
Surbiton Crescent, Kingston to remove 3 permit holder spaces on the west side (outside Nos 12/14 and adjacent to No 11 Palace Road).
3. The Order, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan showing the location and effect of the restrictions, are available for inspection until 19 June 2006, at: the 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1EU, between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; New Malden Library, Sandal Road, New Malden, during normal opening hours; Kingston Library, Fairfield Road, Kingston, during normal opening hours. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 19 June 2006.
