NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO APPLY FOR LICENCES TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Hansons Aggregates UK, St Laurence Avenue, 20/20 Industrial Estate, Allington, Maidstone, Kent ME16 0LQ, are applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water, the details of which are as follows: Abstraction at the following rates: 14.5 cubic metres per hour; 200 cubic metres per day; 55,200 cubic metres per year, between 1 January and 31 December each year from a borehole into the Chalk located at Kings Cross Concrete Plant, British Rail Goods Yard, York Way, Kings Cross, London N1 0AU (National Grid Ref TQ 2992 8404), for the purpose of concrete production, general purpose washing and dust suppression. A copy of the application and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Kings Cross Concrete Plant, Site Shipping Office, British Rail Goods Yard, York Way, Kings Cross, London N1 0AU, between 23 February 2006 and 23 March 2006. Any person who wishes to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Team Leader Water Resources, Apollo Court, 2 Bishops Square Business Park, St Albans Road West, Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL10 9EX, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
