SEWARDSTONE ROAD, LONDON E4—REMOVAL OF LOADING PLACES AND EXTENSION OF BUS STOP CLEARWAY

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest, hereinafter called the Council, on 18 October 2005 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Goverment Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the amendment to the Waltham Forest (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977, will be that: (a) waiting and loading by vehicles will be prohibited at any time on the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; (b) waiting will be prohibited at any time on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 2 to this notice; (c) waiting and loading by vehicles will be prohibited between 7.00 am and 10.00 am on Mondays to Fridays inclusive on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 3 to this notice. 3. The general effect of the amendment to the Waltham Forest (Free Loading Places) (No 1) Order 2001, will be to remove the existing free loading places on the eastern side of Sewardstone Road, London E4. 4. The general effect of the amendment to the Waltham Forest (Various Roads) (Free Parking Places) Order 1996 will be: (a) to designate free parking places operative between 10.00 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, on the lengths of Sewardstone Road specified in Schedule 4 to this notice, where vehicles may wait for a maximum period of 30 minutes and where return to the same parking place will be prohibited for two hours. (b) to designate a free parking place operative between 10.00 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays and between 7.00 am and 6.30 pm on Saturdays, on the length of High Road, Leyton, London E10, specified in Schedule 5 to this notice, where vehicles may wait for a maximum period of 30 minutes and where return to the same parking place will be prohibited for two hours. 5. The general effect of the amendment to the Waltham Forest (Bus Stop Clearways) (No 1) Traffic Order 2001 will be to extend the existing 24 hour bus stop clearway situated on the eastern side of Sewardstone Road, London E4, to now operate on the length specified in Schedule 6 to this notice. 6. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 24 October 2005, of the above-mentoned Orders of 1977, 1996 and 2001 (and the Orders which have previously amended those Orders, where applicable), of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders and of plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, at: (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, London E17; (b) The Reception Desk, Municipal Offices, 16 The Ridgeway, Chingford, London E4; and (c) The First Stop Shop, Leytonstone Library, Church Lane, Leytonstone, London E11; and copies of the Orders may be obtained from the Chief Engineer at the address shown below. 7. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements theroef or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Orders, make application for the purpose to the High Court. Schedule 1 (At any time waiting and loading restrictions) Bromley Road, London E10, the south-west side, between a point 11.20 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of the north-western arm of Lea Bridge Road and a point 19 metres south-east of that kerbline. Schedule 2 (At any time waiting restrictions) High Road, Leyton, London E10, the north-east side, between the north-western kerbline of Sedgwick Road and a point 15 metres north-west of that kerbline. Sedgwick Road, London E10, the north-west side, between the north-eastern kerbline of High Road, Leyton, and a point 11.10 metres north-east of that kerbline. Schedule 3 (7.00 am to 10.00 am Monday to Friday waiting and loading restrictions) Sewardstone Road, London E4 (a) the east side, between a point opposite the common boundary of Nos 46 and 50 Sewardstone Road and a point 10 metres north of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos 48 and 50 Sewardstone Road; (b) the east side, between a point 0.80 metres south of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos 62 and 64 Sewardstone Road and a point 1 metre south of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos 72 and 74 Sewardstone Road. Schedule 4 (10.00 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Saturday 30 minutes maximum stay free parking places) Sewardstone Road, London E4, (a) the east side, from a point 1 metre south of the common boundary of Nos 72 and 74 Sewardstone Road to a point 0.80 metres south of the common boundary of Nos 62 and 64 Sewardstone Road; (b) the east side from the common boundary of Nos 48 and 50 Sewardstone Road extending northward for a distance of 10 metres. Schedule 5 (10.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, and 7.00 am to 6.30 pm Saturdays 30 minutes maximum stay free parking place) High Road, Leyton, London E10, the north-east side from a point 15 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Sedgwick Road extending north-westward for a distance of 6 metres. Schedule 6 (24 hour Bus Stop Clearway) Sewardstone Road, London E4, the east side from a point 5.30 metres south of the southern kerbline of Laurel Gardens extending southward for a distance of 21 metres. 20 October 2005.
