THE CROYDON (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (NO 6) TRAFFIC ORDER 2005
1. Notice is hereby given that Croydon Council on 12 September 2005 made the above-mentioned Traffic Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Croydon (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No 6) Traffic Order 2005 would be to: (a) revoke the disabled parking places located outside No 40 Beatrice Avenue, Norbury, outside No 147 Beckford Road, Croydon, outside Nos 112-114 Cheston Avenue, Shirley, outside No 24 Cromer Road, South Norwood, outside No 652 Davidson Road, Croydon, outside No 57 Hartley Road, Croydon, outside No 30 Holland Road, South Norwood, outside Nos 28 and 30 Newark Road, South Croydon, outside No 9 Wharfedale Gardens, Thornton Heath and outside Nos 77 a and 79 Woodside Road, South Norwood; (b) designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in Alexandra Road, Croydon (outside No 57, converting existing “pay and display” bay), Ambleside Gardens, Selsdon (opposite Nos 6-8), Barmouth Road, Shirley (outside No 31), Belmont Road, South Norwood (outside No 25), Beulah Road, Thornton Heath (outside No 122), Canterbury Road, Croydon (outside No 118), Colescroft Hill, Purley (outside No 12), Curzon Road, Thornton Heath (outside No 8), Dalmeny Avenue, Norbury (outside No 106), Dunkeld Road, Thornton Heath (outside Nos 9 and 11, converting existing “pay and display” bay), Dunsfold Way, New Addington (outside Nos 36/42/48/54), Ena Road, Norbury (outside No 71), Fairlands Avenue, Thornton Heath (outside No 84), Frant Road, Thornton Heath (outside No 44, 2 wheels up on footway), Henderson Road, Croydon (outside No 13), Houlder Crescent, Croydon (outside No 31), Natal Road, Thornton Heath (outside No 13), Norbury Avenue, Norbury (outside No 262), Roffey Close, Purley (outside No 13), and Selhurst New Road, Selhurst (outside No 47). 3. A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 19 September 2005 and of all associated Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the Enquiry Counter, “One Stop” Facility, Ground Floor, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey. 4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Parking and Departmental Support Services, Environmental, Cultural and Sports Services Department, 1st Floor, Davis House, Robert Street, Croydon CR0 1QQ. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
