PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990

Notice is hereby given that the Wrexham County Borough Council on 14 December 2004 designated an area of Wrexham to be a conservation area in accordance with section 69 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
The conservation area includes Queen Street, Hill Street, Crane Street, Well Street, High Street, Minshalls Croft, King Street, Crane Lane, Bowens Lane, Mount Pleasant and Rock Hill, Cefn Mawr. A plan showing the precise boundaries of the conservation area may be inspected at the office of the Chief Planning Officer, Lambpit Street, Wrexham during normal office hours. By virtue of the designation of the area as a conservation area, buildings within the area may not be demolished without the consent of the County Borough Council or the National Assembly for Wales and there are also provisions which apply for the preservation of trees within the conservation area. Special procedures may also need to be followed in respect of applications for planning permission for development of land within the conservation area. Anyone seeking more detailed information on the effect of the designation should contact the Chief Planning Officer.
