WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991, AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995, SCHEDULE 10

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Oaksey Park Ltd for consent to discharge 17 cubic metres per day of treated sewage effluent from housing development and golf club at Oaksey Park, Lowfield Farm, Wick Lane, Oaksey, Wiltshire SN16 9SB into a tributary of the Flagham Brook at National Grid Ref ST 997 942. Details of the proposal are contained in the register held by the Agency at its offices at Isis House, Howbery Park, Crowmarsh Gifford, Wallingford, Oxfordshire and may be inspected, free of charge, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive. Enquiries may also be made by telephone on 01491 828487 between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive. Any person who wishes to make representations or objections with respect to the application should do so in writing to the Team Leader, Regulatory (Water Quality), The Environment Agency, Thames Region, West Area, Isis House, Howbery Park, Wallingford, Oxfordshire OX10 8BD, quoting Ref W/WR 903 not later than 2 September 2004. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties, it is decided that consent can be given, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met.
