THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (FREE PARKING PLACE) (DISABLED PERSONS) (NO 1) ORDER 2004
JOHN ADAM STREET

1. Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council on 19 May 2004, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Disabled Persons Parking Place Order will be to provide: (a) a disabled persons’ “blue badge” parking place in John Adam Street; (b) that the vehicles which may be left in the disabled persons’ “blue badge” parking place shall be those displaying either a valid permit issued by the Westminster City Council (commonly known as the “White Westminster Exemption Badge”) or a disabled persons’ badge issued by any local authority (commonly referred to as “the blue badge”) and that they may be left without charge. (c) that the parking place would operate at all times and be subject to a maximum stay of 4 hours between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm Mondays to Fridays. 3. The Order will come into force for the purposes of the placing of traffic signs, etc. on 21 May 2004 and into force for all other purposes on 24 May 2004. 4. The Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Mouchel Parkman, 3rd Floor, Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, until 30 June 2004. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 30 June 2004.
